Adner Valle is an attorney at Leyva, Montenegro Trigueros Abogados (LMT), where his practice focuses on intellectual and industrial property and strategic litigation, with an emphasis on highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, and technology. He advises and represents domestic and international clients in protecting and enforcing trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.

His work includes handling proceedings before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), administrative litigation before the Federal Court of Administrative Justice (TFJA), amparo proceedings (constitutional relief) before federal district and circuit courts, and regulatory disputes involving COFEPRIS, Mexico’s health regulator. A central part of his practice lies in pharmaceutical patent litigation and the IMPI–COFEPRIS patent linkage system, where he develops enforcement, invalidation, and exclusivity-defense strategies against competitors and generic drug applications.

Alongside this specialized practice, he brings in-house experience from the legal department of a global pharmaceutical company, which allows him to read matters from the client’s operational standpoint and to integrate legal, regulatory, and business considerations into decision-making. He likewise handles matters involving technological innovation, artificial intelligence, and data protection, a line of work he develops both in practice and through his editorial writing on law, technology, and intellectual property.

He holds a law degree from the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Aragón of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and has supplemented his training with continuing-education courses and specialized diploma programs. He joined LMT in 2011 and, after more than a decade of practice, currently serves as a senior attorney at the firm.
